Whether we like it or not society or the things that happen in society can have an effect on the way we view ourselves. Some of us are stronger than others and can fend off the messages that society is trying to send. If on October 2, 2019 there was a black man or boy that questioned what his life is worth the answer came through loud and clear with Amber Guyger getting 10 years with the eligibility for parole after 5 for murdering Botham Jean in his own apartment about a year ago.
